Fried chicken sandwich is the truth!!
We were in the area for a completely different restaurant but due to the 40 minute wait time, we continued down Alberta and came across this place...Amazing selection of sandwiches - BLT, Italian Cured Meat, Roast Beef & Chicken Breast are the ones my group ate...The mac n cheese had great taste...We actually had some friends that were in town with us and they thought the place was great & will allow us to recommend places to eat without fear it’s really bad lol...We were extremely impressed and will definitely recommend this place to family & friends
Very good tasty sandwiches. Pork belly cubano, meatball hero are standbys. Mac and cheese for kiddos. Veggie side specials can be fabulous but some misses. Best pseudo healthy option is to order Italian cured meats as a salad (not on the menu).
The food here is great and the workers were super friendly and great about helping us work through our order.
Had to order from the bar, pay at the bar, and get own boxes and fork, spoons, and knives/ napkins. Only restaurants adminity was they gave us a number and brought the food to the table, like burgervilive. Only requimend if you like velveeta hot sauce cheese.
We didn't want to stand in line at that biscuit place, so we headed up the street and wandered into Bunk. A great atmosphere, friendly counter person, interesting menu and excellent selection of beer and wine is what you'll find here. The food was amazing and we were happy with the prices we paid, for what they brought to our table. Delicious! Give them a try â¤
Good choice for a quick bite.
I've been to Bunks many times, but years ago. But it was on, or near, SE Morrison back then. This place is similar as far as size of shop and seating is concerned. It has outdoor seating tho, kinda nice. I had the Cubano sandwich. It's what I always got at the other location. It tasted great, but didn't have as much meat as I remembered. Again, it has been a few years. We had the regular order of fries too and they were good!I'd go back for sure. Maybe try the chicken salad sandwich.
Beyond beef burger was soooo good
Really good sandwiches!
Great. Got a cubano and a meatball sandwich. Both were delicious. The Russian fries are a bit strange being doused in thousand island dressing. I'd say loose the dressing and they'd be supreme.
Really good Sandwiches, especially the Italian and meatball. Service can be a little slow and their prices are a bit spendy, but not outrageous
They have breakfast sandwiches and minimal wait, which is a great feat on Alberta street. I also love their Cubano. It's the perfect place to go if you're looking for no fuss sandwich shop.
Turkey club was fantastic with giants cubes of turkey in it! Very relaxed vibe and good for a quick, light snack. Would come back for other items
I had the cured meats sandwich and a ginger beer. It's a delicious Italian sandwich and it's big enough to easily fill you up. It comes with a side of salted potato chips. The service was entertaining—lots of jokes—and the back patio seating was very nice in the sunshine. There was a local cat that enjoyed the sunshine with us while we ate.
Nice quint place. Good salads
My sandwich was good. Fries were good.
Yummy!!! Those fries are worth fighting over
The fried chicken rocks!!!!
Me and a friend had lunch here the environment was inviting the staff was welcoming the coffee was not my favorite it wasn't bad I enjoyed the sandwich and I will be there again in the future
Friendly staff. Clean restaurant. Unique menu.
The food here is always consistent and good, but the front of house staff has been consistently disappointing. They're dry and impersonal and just not good at working. Two girls in particular, but they seem to always be here (we live near by and come fairly often because the food is still good). Just be ready to be served by people who definitely don't want to be there.
Excellent pork belly sandwich.
Not very impressed. I expected there to be eggs and bacon drippings inside the Russian dressing but it was cold and clammy and probably from a one gallon plastic jug. I tried the Pork Belly Cubano which only had roasted pork and Ham on it, here was no pork belly at all. Aizen wanted to try the Italian cured meats sandwich but they said they were all out of that one . When I was at the counter lady came up to order coffee and they were out of that as well. I have to say I'm pretty disappointed considering all the buzz that Bunk Sandwiches has gotten.
Great fresh sandwiches and sides. I try to have something different every time I go try something new. Delish
Funky space, super comfort food with a nice spicy afterbite
Bunk sandwiches are reliably delicious. The staff is friendly and you can't beat the outside seating in the summer time. The last sandwich I had was the fried chicken. It was very good.
Consistency is the only thing I can fault them for, as they are committed to qualify and have good service. I'll always go back.
Short staffed. One person left to frantically make ends meet. Came in on Febuary 18th, 2019. I'm sad to say that management is the reason I will not be back. One person is not enough people to make drinks, take orders, and run food. Pathetic .
Omg, the Carne Asada Fries were heaven. Plenty of cheese and toppings, perfectly crispy and seasoned when not under the toppings, and a meal in and of themselves. I may have died and gone to heaven.
Best breakfast sandwich anywhere!
The fried chicken sandwich was incredible. Chicken was moist and had a good crisp to it. The right amount of mayo an slaw for a topping and I love the bun they used. I also got the carna asada fries. They were good but a little to much cheese for me and I should have taken off the guacamole. But over all will go back. This spot is great.
A great sandwich shop that offers unique sandwiches along with a selection of beers. It's located in the heart of the Alberta Arts district with other great restaurants, bars, shops, etc. If their selection of beer doesn't appeal to you, you can get your sandwich to go and take it across the street to the Imperial bottle shop.
One of the best sandwich places in town.Come for the fried chicken, stay for the breakfast sandwiches.
Really cool atmosphere and amazing food!
Quick little sandwich. It really a place I would sit and hang out
Great meatball subs, good burgers, steak salad came with fires on top and was delish
The chicken salad sandwich was nice but it had too much dijon which kind of overpowered the whole sandwich. The bread was really fresh and perfectly toasted. The soup special was tasty but a little too thick. The girl that served us was really lovely.
Awesome sandwich joint!! Great location on Alberta. Great for foot traffic. Food is awesome. So many great options to choose from. You really can't go wrong. We had the Pork Belly Cubano and the Chicken Bacon Ranch. Both were so very tasty. Definitely will come back and keep trying options out.
Great people tasty sandwiches. Fun beer cocktails
Food was fresh, good service and clean attractive restaurant.
We had 3 different menu items & all were great! Awesome hamburger, yummy fries with just the right amount of crunch on the outside & soft on the inside. Chicken salad sandwich. Yum! They even have Nutella on the menu! While other spots on this street were packed with lines around the corner, we got right in & sat down. Maybe people just dont know about this place & their food for lunch. Either way we got super lucky & left with happy tummy's & wallets.
Fairly cheap, well cooked sammies with amazing sides. We tried the Russian and Carne Asada Fries and both were knockouts. Great tastes, no wait at 5pm and tasty ciders to sip.
Soooo gooood
Fries taste and look EXACTLY like McDonald's fries. Sandwich is average.
The fried chicken sandwich was great, but prepare for a mult-napkin meal. It was messy :)
We always go here after Salt and Straw to get their loaded fries. Yum! But sometimes the servers seem standoffish otherwise I'd give full stars.
The new in-house pickled peppers on the Italian meats sandwich are fantastic.
If you don’t like your sandwich, you are doing it (eating sandwiches) wrong.
One of the best place to get a solid sandwich in Portland. Split the steak and blue cheese and the sloppy joe (which is more of a pulled pork but that's ok because it will BLOW YOUR MIND) had some Mac and cheese which was perfectly creamy and delicious (and a steal at 3$!) And some crispy fries. They use quality ingredients and put lots of love in their sammys and the price reflects that. One sandwich and a side is plenty of food for two people if you feel like sharing. (which you won't and that's ok too)
